SCANDINAVIAN MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION

This has to be one of the most scenic routes we have followed to date on our travels to Sweden. If your dogs don't mind a bit of up and down then check out the trail map further down the page, we would certainly recommend it. We started the day off with a cool -24 C and clear sunny skies, perfect for the spectacular views.

Beautiful mountain scenery

The 26 mile long trail began with a steady ascent into the mountains, aiming to climb some of Mount Harajahagna. This mountain is the 11th highest in the Dalarna region at 3,357 ft and sits right on the boundary between Sweden and Norway. Our trail kept us on the Swedish side of the border and the team made some great elevation gains by reaching 3,230 ft as they passed the spectacular summit of the mountain on their right hand side.
