KENNEL EXPANSIONS
With two new additions to the pack and a new house with more space, this spring seemed like the perfect time to revamp the dog kennels. For our pack to be happy it is important for them to have room to run and play while we are out at work - sofa time happens when we are home in the evening. The kennel boxes were built from scratch by Ryan and the design was inspired by many working kennels we have seen in Germany and Scandinavia. We're hoping that the green paint and green fencing allow them to blend in better with the rest of the garden.
Although our dogs are happiest outside, with this comes a little extra work to maintain good living conditions. The kennels are disinfected and given fresh straw monthly, the bedding is turned and checked daily for any signs of illness. We are also vigilant with worming and ensure that toys and bowls are cleaned on a regular basis to guard against lung worm. Clean kennels equals happy healthy dogs!
