CRUFTS QUALIFIERS

Summer 2016 has seen us take our dogs to a couple of championship shows where they have received some great places and judges comments. Everybody has qualified for Crufts 2017 and Inka has taken some very high placings in Limit Bitch. Here's a few snap shots of the gang in the ring along with some judges critiques.

Rowdy - 8 months

Above Rowdy @ 8 months (Kimbear's Bothel Chasing the Storm for BlackSummit). Rowdy was shown at Boarder Union Championship Show and breed specialist Kath Howarth awarded him 2nd place in puppy class.

"Developing well for his age with a lovely head, eye shape, and ear set. Good spring of rib and depth of chest, with topline just starting to show. Well angled with straight front legs and tight feet. Stifles moderately bent with good hocks. Carried his tail well on the move."

Inka - 3 years

Above Inka @ 3 years (Packice Orsa at BlackSummit) has only had two outings at championship shows so far this year. At Boarder Union breed specialist Kath Howarth placed her 2nd in a huge Limit Bitch class of 11 entries. In July she then went to National Working and Pastoral and another breed specialist judge, Jill Broadberry placed her 2nd again in an enormous Limit Bitch class of 18 entries. The biggest class of the year so far! We're extremely proud of how Inka has developed and given a large enough ring she is really capable of showing the judges a great range of working movement. Inka also placed 1st in Limit Bitch during the AMCUK breed speciality show in May. You can read about this in our earlier blog posts. We're still waiting on some of Inka's critiques so we'll update in due course.

"Nice head, dark eyes, small well set ears. Good front assembly with balanced rear that allows her freedom of movement. Has strength all through and good bone leading to short, strong and slightly sloping pasterns and tight feet. She moved with a powerful side gait, maintaining her topline."

Nome - 8 months

Above Nome @ 8 months (Kimbear's Bothel Sense of Snow at BlackSummit). Nome is our beautifully feminine baby of the family. She's only had one outing to a show this summer simply because the weather has been to warm for her by the time her class has rolled around. Nonetheless at Boarder Union championship show judge Kath Howarth gave her a wonderful write-up to see her on her way to Crufts 2017.

"Feminine puppy, with style and balance. Excellent tail set, good angulation. Pretty head, with correct ears, dark eyes and good length of neck. A little unsettled on the day which reflected in her movement."
